“ Taylor is a nice and kind server, and I like her enthusiastic smile. Under her recommendation, I tried the peach Danish and cinnamon bun they were really good! ”
“ The Duchess, Ojai, CA The Duchess is the place for breakfast in Ojai. They have a fantastic variety of homemade pastries in addition to waffles and breakfast sandwiches. Was visiting family in the area and went to breakfast every morning and got to try such a variety. My favorite was the spiced orange and pistachio scones, or was it the rhubarb Danish or maybe the blood orange olive oil cake. They were all fantastic. Im not a coffeetea drinker but my family was impressed with the options and the taste of each that was tried. The best part was all items were large enough to share so we each got something different and passed it around the table. The atmosphere is very relaxed and fun. Service was fantastic even tho they were so busy. There were several tables inside and out. But get there early on a weekend to get a table. Several tables are long and seat 810 so youre likely to be sharing a table and meeting new interesting people. They have lots of traffic from LA on weekends. Everyone was so nice. The building is older and had a small step at the front door so could be a bit challenging for handicapped accessibility. Once inside theres room to maneuver if the crowds arent too big. There are plates, glassware and silverware in the open for any customer to grab as needed. They offer open bottles of water to take to your table to share. BUT they have more than breakfast so dont stop there. Thats my one regret that we didnt go back for lunch or dinner. We did take some cupcakes home for later and they were AMAZING. ”
“ Wow, the flavors at this restaurant are unreal! I think it all comes down to the quality of their ingredients. They have a really highquality ingredients and the food tasted delicious. My breakfast plate had really good bacon, incredible potatoes, great eggs, and the sauce to go with it was just incredible! I dont even know how they did it.the masala omelette was also extremely delicious. Their coffee latte was yummy as well. We got a handheld pastry sandwich, which was delicious, and they had this amazing lemon, walnut, streusel oat blueberry coffee cake. Seriously just an incredible experience and highly recommend going here! ”
“ Pricey but worth it imo! Everything was delicious. I have nothing bad to say. Pictured are the egg sando, crispy potatoes, and cucumber raita. You can also look at the pastry case and let your server know what you want pictured from case are the everything bagel breakfast sandwich and croissant. ”
“ Holy moly the pastry counter is EXQUISITe. Also we got the pro tip that things that are next to each other in the pastry case go well together. The ham and cheese croissant has mustard baked in and its RULLY good. Also we came back for dinner and the cocktails were also rully good. Food too. Kisses to the chefs, will be back ”
“ My partner and I stopped here for brunch on our way home to LA from Big Sur. Brunch was very delicious and reasonably priced. We also had the best server in the world named Taylor who loved getting to know us, and when she found out that we had just celebrated my partners birthday the day before and that we were on the tail end of our 8year anniversary trip, she helped us get a little togo box of pastries from the bakery. Could not have asked for a better brunch experience in Ojai. Will definitely come back. ”
“ Best bakery in Ventura County! Restaurant is great for breakfast, brunch, and lunch. Vibe is super relaxed. Service people are having fun, which is nice to see! Heartily recommend coffee drinks, pastries and breads... And enjoying a sit down meal on the back patio. ”
“ Morning pastries are good especially their danishes, but Im not danish so please take my praise with a grain of salt. The fried chicken sandwich for brunch slaps. Egg sandwich is okay. Coffee is decent. Weekend mornings get crowded. Dinner our server was amazing and recommended all absolute bangers. Naan 1010 was baked perfectly. Crispy rice salad 1010 is acidic and bright, perfect to eat with any curries or main entrees that could feel heavy. Rock cod with coconut 9.510 had an amazing crispy skin. Lamb masala was the star! 1210 So soft and tender. Best meal we had in Ojai easily. ”
